Fake News! Fake Gov’t! Fake Church!

US govt shutdown Jan 2019

by John McGlone Jan 26, 2019

With the US government shutdown running into it’s record length, one has to wonder is it real at all? Is it just another shell game to fool the masses, to expand corruption, to instill fear that we lose our precious way of life here in America? It begs the question in this wicked and apostate age is anything in the human experience anymore actually genuine? Here are a list of things in this world that come into questions about what is authentic: 1. Truth 2. Love 3. Family 4. Information 5. Government 6. Education 7. Medicine-Science 8. Sexuality 9 Money 10. NASA 11. ad infinitum-nauseum.

Jesus is the TRUTH, God is LOVE, God designed the FAMILY structure, the Holy Bible instructs us with righteous INFORMATION, Jesus is the KING of kings, the only true, righteous, and good GOVERNMENT, God wants to EDUCATE us and our progeny, Jesus is our HEALER the only true medicine, God designed NORMAL SEXUALITY between a man and a woman in holy matrimony, the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil, NASA is full of lies about God’s cosmology and creation.

In all of these areas the church, I mean all true Christians, have become sugar and darkness instead of salt and light! They have feared men instead of God, hidden the true Gospel under a bush, and failed miserably in being effectual for the true ministry of Jesus Christ. Thus God’s Word is proven true about our nation and the god we have made up for ourselves collectively.

Matt 5:13-16
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

If we are to preach and proclaim the truth of Christianity to a lost and wicked world what is the standard by which we make such claims on absolute truth? This FB article by Jesse Boyd was so filled with the fire of the Holy Ghost I had to share it! Church REPENT!

by Jesse Boyd
Those of you who claim the name of Christ and lightly esteem the written Word of God, BEWARE. Those like wicked pastors out there who claim to love God and to love people and yet mock the Bible, BEWARE. The written Word of God is not just a book, it’s not some antiquated diatribe. It’s a giant spiritual BEAR TRAP, so beware. After all, HE (see Hebrews 4:13–“neither is there anything that is not manifest in HIS sight”) can DISCERN (Hebrews 4:12); HE can SEE with x-ray vision (Hebrews 4:13); HE can RAISE UP people out of the dust for the sole purpose of judgment (Romans 9:17); HE can FORESEE and PREACH details about the future long before they happen (Galatians 3:8); HE can BREAK in pieces (Jeremiah 23:29) and HE inevitably leads people to saving faith (Romans 10:17).

In the wilderness, Israel waxed fat, grew thick, and lightly esteemed the Rock of her salvation (Deuteronomy 32:15). Have we Christians here in America done the same, making our feelings, whether or not we “have a peace” about something, and our “convictions” the authority over and above the Written Word of the Living God? Without the Holy Bible inspired by God and perfectly preserved for us in a language we can understand, we spoiled Americans wouldn’t even know the Lord and Saviour and what He wants us to do, let alone who He is.

You say the rallying point, the common ground, is the person of Jesus Christ. But which Christ? The Catholic Christ who can’t deal with you directly? The Mormon Christ who is the spirit child of an alien from the planet “Kolob” and has a brother named Satan? The Charismatic Christ who changes with the wind and wouldn’t dare offend a Jesuit priest or a lesbian with the truth? The Emergent Christ who appeases the wicked and yet despises His own Body (i.e. the church)? The Postmillennial Christ who has no tangible throne and can only speak in dark allegories that a select few can understand? The Muslim Christ who didn’t really die on a cross? The Christ of Judaism who has never even been to this earth? The Hindu Christ who survived the crucifixion and is buried somewhere in Kashmir? The Baptist Fundamentalist Christ who cares more about whether or not you attend every Sunday and Wednesday service than if you love your brethren, preach the Gospel, and obey the Great Commission? The Methodist Christ who said homosexuality is a sin and that women are not to pastor churches, but he was really only joking? The Buddhist Christ who was absorbed into nothingness? The Lutheran Christ who checks off confirmation class attendance? The Presbyterian Christ who died for a select few that were sprinkled with water? The Christ of the Church of Christ who begats with water instead of with the Holy Ghost? The Southern Baptist Christ who entertains and performs? The Abolitionist Christ who cares more about abortion and frozen embryos than going into all the world and preaching the Gospel to every creature? The Replacement Christ who can’t keep promises? The Reformed Christ who venerates men? Which is it? Which Christ are you talking about? That’s easy, whatever you make Him out to be . . . UNLESS you rally around the BOOK that declares exactly who HE is and what HE wants from you.

Without the written Word of God as the center of Christian fellowship and the final authority in matters of faith and practice, all such fellowship is a ultimately a facade and a farce.

The HOLY BIBLE–the divinely inspired, perfect preserved, saint-used, time-tested, words of the Living God and the ABSOLUTE MONARCH of all BOOKS. O BIBLIOS, THE BOOK!

And, in the BOOK it is written: “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said” (Matthew 28:6). Moreover, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore . . .” (Matthew 28:18-19).

God’s Mercy or Damnation?

by John McGlone 01/28/18

Often the open air preacher is viewed as harsh, unloving, and imbalanced because of the words, tones, and behaviors that we will use in the streets.  This is done to try and bring an awakening in the hearers which are spiritually dead and care less for the things of God.  It seems to the average Christian that we never talk of God’s love, mercy, and kindness which leads sinners to repentance.  So, here are few of my thoughts on this matter:

1.  We do speak often of God’s love at the cross of the Son Jesus Christ for the sinner as we call them to repent of sin and turn towards God.
2.  Until they get to the point of humbling themselves to esteem that sacrifice what greater love could we speak of?
3.  Can they get God’s mercy any other way than through that cross of Christ?
4.  The preaching of the cross is an offense, why would any believer be surprised by the apathy or reactions of the lost?   1 Cor 1:18
5.  God loves humility and hates pride. Thus, if someone approaches the believer in humility we give him grace, love, and mercy.  If they approach in a state of pride, anger, or suppression we give him the law, God’s hatred, and justice against him.
6.  God does NOT desire the destruction of the wicked, but that he turn and live.  So, there is the condition, one has to turn from sin in order to have life in Jesus.
7.  God loves mercy above justice.

Matt 9:13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

In summation, to the sinners I say, ‘Humble yourselves!’, to the saints I say, “Stay humble, and use God’s ideologies to express God’s will and Gospel to the lost.
God bless you.

God is NOT Outside of Time Says Matt Slick

Major Turnaround: CARM’s Matt Slick Concedes On God Not Being Outside Of Time

by Bob Enyart
blogged by Jesus Preacher 12/30/2017

In the two weeks before his debate with Will Duffy (between Nov. 15 and Dec. 1, 2017) Matt Slick made a major turnaround in his Calvinism and a huge concession to open theism. As a popular theologian, he now rejects the position he has had held for decades, namely, the settled-view belief that God exists outside of time.

CARM.org, Slick’s website, has many repeated statements claiming (erroneously) that God is outside of time. (His videos say likewise.) Yet in his opening statement, Will Duffy established by the Incarnation that God does not exist outside of but lives inside of time. In response to that, Matt Slick stated, thankfully but shockingly, “I don’t say that God is outside of time. I don’t say that God exists in an eternal now.”

That is a major turnaround for this popular Calvinist. A Dec. 27, 2017 Google search of his CARM website shows that the phrase “outside of time” appears 44 times on Matt’s site including in articles that he has written, updated, or posted recently. For example:

carm.org/how-can-jesus-pay-for-all-our-sins-past-present-future by Matt Slick, dated May 31, 2016: “Since God is outside of time…”

carm.org/did-god-create-himself by Matt Slick: “…we do not relate to God in His time frame… He exists outside of our time reference. He exists [present tense]… before He created [the universe]. Therefore, the issue of eternity, which deals with time, does not apply to God because God is outside of time.” Contrary to such philosophy, the Bible repeatedly applies eternity to God. See kgov.com/time#everlasting. Matt goes on to wrongly argue that God cannot cross an infinite amount of time. This is false because He has and we demonstrate that at kgov.com/time#crossing-infinity. Also, consulting archive.org it appears that this article also was written or at least posted online in 2016, and not 22 years ago as Matt had stated in the debate.

Why Did Slick Misstate When He Changed His View? Matt misstated the timing of when he changed his view to obscure the historic significance of his paradigm shift. If it had been decades prior to this debate when he rejected the belief that God was outside of time, then he could argue that adopting this new view, dramatic as it is, had nothing to do with the persuasiveness of open theism. However, he changed his position while he was watching and reading Will Duffy’s and Bob Enyart’s open theism debates during his two weeks of preparation to meet Mr. Duffy. It would have been a beautiful display of humility (and still would be) for Matt Slick to say, “I had always taught that God exists outside of time, but these open theists have encouraged me to reconsider that doctrine in light of the Incarnation, and I’ve realized that, at least on this point, they must be correct. God cannot exist outside of time.”

carm.org/logical-refutation-open-theism by Matt Slick and first appears at archive.org in 2011: “Time exists… as a relationship to things that change” and Matt claims that God is utterly immutable, that is, that He does not change. Thus by his description, God would be outside of time. Matt continued, “God is not restricted by nor contained within time, nor is He restricted by a continuous succession of events from the past, through the present, and into the future, nor is time an attribute of God’s nature. …  time is not a part of God and God is not restricted by time. … we can see that God cannot be restricted by time and is outside of it.” In the debate with Mr. Duffy, Slick also conceded to open theism that God acts in sequence. Yet in this article, he wrote, though it is a non-sequitur, “If we stated that God exists relative to time, then God exists as a sequence of events”. He thereby concludes again that God must not exist relative to time. (But see kgov.com/time.) Matt also present a false definition: “time is a sequence of events”. And then he writes, though the sentence contradicts itself, “God has always existed and continues to exist outside of time…” He concludes then, wrongly, “past, present, and future… are irrelevant to God’s nature and existence since He exists outside of time.”

carm.org/if-god-all-knowing-and-he-knows-our-future-then-how-free-will by Matt Slick [this article or its posting may be rather new for it has not yet been “crawled” by archive.org] “…God is outside of time. Our question deals with a situation from a perspective inside of time where[as] God is outside of time.”

carm.org/if-god-knows-our-free-will-choices-do-we-still-have-free-will by Matt Slick, [this article first appears on archive.org in 2010]: “God has no beginning, and since ‘beginning’ deals with an event in time, God is outside of time.”

carm.org/does-god-have-body by Matt Slick [this article first appearing on archive.org in 2009]: “Since God is outside of time, eternal, He could not be material.”

carm.org/evolutionist-says-evolution-fact by Matt Slick “God is outside of time

carm.org/did-jesus-know-the-future by Matt Slick “Being God… and because He is outside of time…”

carm.org/false-prophecies-of-joseph-smith by Matt Slick: “This is because God, who is outside of time… makes no mistakes…”

Also, at CARM, dozens of blog posts by his supporters claim, unchallenged and with obvious agreement from Matt, that God is “outside of time”.

Eternal Now: There are fewer instances on his site for the phrase “eternal now” but one of those in in an article carm.org/atone-past-present-future by Brad Huston, “God, who is infinite, exists in the eternal ‘now’” which claim, of course, by Matt’s newfound understanding and by the Scriptures, is false.

Consider then these 10 seconds:

And then these 20 seconds:

Legalism: Handle Not, Taste Not, Touch Not! by John McGlone

Legalism and Antinomianism  are both deadly, fiery, spiritual arrows in the quiver of the devils, unbelievers, and even the elect!  The first puts traditions of men, which God never required to be instituted for salvation. The second states there are no more moral obligations to obey God in any area of our walk because of His grace.  They are opposing ends of theological errors which lead many to condemn brothers or to ruin their pure walks with the Lord through living in sin.  These questions that the world, the devils, doubters, and even sincere believers and unbelievers alike put forth for consideration continually assail the body of Christ to bring about divisions, compromise, and legalism among the fellowship of the saints.  Personally, I have seen such problems enter among the saints in our local fellowship, on the streets preaching, believers on social media, and even in my own earthly and spiritual family.

Legalism is defined several ways.  But, generally is an unbiblical concept that is required to be kept or shunned in order to be accepted into fellowship and considered to be a believer.  The Judaizers of the New Testament were attempting to get the NT Holy Ghost filled Gentile believers to follow the Mosaic law to be saved, ie circumcision, Sabbath, and festivals.

Some examples for legalism that leads to believers condemning others believers are:
1. Only certain colors, lengths, patterns for modest fashions for women and men.  If you wear something different you can’t be part of the church, thus you are condemned.
2. fellowship meetings only on Saturday, though they don’t observe the Shabbat properly according to Jewish oral and written tradition.  This hypocrisy is painfully obvious yet you can’t share without offending their traditions, so they condemn and shun you.
3.  No modern equipment, tires, motors, or technology.  Hmmm, how do I even address this nonsensical thinking?  The technology with which people traveled has dramatically changed from horseback to planes, trains, and automobiles.  The Bible speaks of the idea of in the later days people will be given unto going to and fro and flying in silver eagles.
4.  Only certain foods and drinks, ie vegetables, nothing with ears, ears, or nose, coke products, etc.  Every time you sit to a meal it can not be enjoyed simply because every latest scientific finding must be discussed at length and your food examined and critiqued while you are trying to consume it.

Antinomianism is defined as a ‘putting away’ of the law of God.  They believe any form of nomas or law does not have to be kept by the NT believer.  If people try, then they are labeled as working for their salvation.

Some examples of the practices of antinomianism are:
smoking, vaping, drinking, sexting, tatoos, makeup, immodest fashions, fornicating, pornography, etc.

The antinomian ‘believer’ will simply excuse any and all sin that may be in their lives at the expense of God’s grace.

Col 2:16-23  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19 And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God. 20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? 23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

Col 3:1-15  If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Many will use Col 2 passage as reasonings to bring in various lowly standards of questionable behaviors and ideologies.  Also, for legalists to bring in traditions of men that God never intended to be standards for believers to live by.

I don’t think vs 5 is an all encompassing list, as we see other lists that show other sins which are not listed here.  But, in comparing all the lists are vaping, tatoos, etc shown in them?  I simply want to ensure as we go forward to that we are not casting aside people for traditions we are making up which are based on our preferences which hate certain tastings, touchings, and handlings of earthy objects or ideas.

I also see in vs’ 12-17 which clearly outlines how believers are to deal with such things.  Very convicting to me to be more long suffering in all things with all people, but especially those of the household of faith.

God’s grace solves the problem!  Titus 2:11-15 was a passage in the Bible I am sure I must have read somewhere over the seven years of my lukewarm walk with Jesus.   But, it never registered in my heart and mind of the blind fool in sin.

The Law of Love solves the problem! Obey the Holy Spirit and walk as He guides and you will find yourself on the narrow and difficult way Jesus taught about.  Resist the temptation to rebuke other believers in the Gospel of Christ who have varying traditions about holidays, festivals, etc.  We are to be an example to the flock not sheep butchers or beaters.  God bless you as you seek to please Jesus supremely and love your neighbor as yourself.

Rom 14:12-17 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way. 14 I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.  15 Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;  17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Body of Christ or Bride of Christ? by John McGlone

09/19/17 by John McGlone

I have gathered together differing resources; videos, audios, pdf documents, etc. to bring to light this question which has been on my heart and mind for some time. I ask myself, “If we are the body of Christ, then how is that the same body as the Bride of Christ?” If it is different bodies, then who is the Bride that Scriptures speaks of over and again? The Word teaches that it was and is Israel.  As I began to research this some months ago I got confused by the differing views especially Dispensationalism. When I recently heard and read Bob Enyart’s teaching in these audio and pdf links below, regarding Israel being the bride the spiritual white flag of surrender went up.

I think the Apostle Paul in Rom 11 is very clear about how the Jews were cut off because of unbelief in the Messiah so that the Gentiles may be grafted in.  Yet, the Gentiles are warned not to by haughty or high minded because they could still be rejected for that.

Rom 11:11-36  I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. 12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?  13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? 35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Could this be the answer I’ve been looking for? Take a listen and let me know your thoughts and how this view may be truth according to the understanding of your heart and mind.  God bless you.

Does God Hate Sinners?

by John McGlone

Often when interacting with sinners and saints alike during ministry, a major confusion the world has about God comes to light.  They believe God’s emotions toward humanity are love only.  He can’t hate anything or anyone, they will proclaim these ideas with great zeal.

A simple examination of Scriptures reveals that the God of the Bible does in fact have a holy hatred of everything that is sinful and everyone living therein.  People are blinded by their own lusts for sin and for the teachings and traditions which false teachers have created for them to consume.  However, it is not just the false teachers fault, as the sin loving sinner desires to have their ears tickled versus their hearts and minds convicted of sin that they may turn from it.  When I was converted some twenty years ago now, I often wondered at the seeming contradiction that God is love, yet He will throw most people into eternal fire and torment forever.  How could both of these concepts be cogent and true at the same time?  How could Jesus judge and then knowingly torment my family and friends with everlasting pain and fire  IF He is so loving?  What about our love toward Him and the rest of humanity?

1 John 4:7-21 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

God’s Love:

Neh_1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

Psa_145:20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Eph_5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

1 Jn_5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Rev_3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Often when interacting with sinners and saints alike during ministry, a major confusion the world has about God comes to light.  They believe God’s emotions toward humanity are love only.  He can’t hate anything or anyone, they will proclaim these ideas with great zeal.  -John McGlone

God’s Hatred:

2 Ch_19:2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.

Psa 5:4-6 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. 5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Psa 11:5-6 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. 6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

Psa 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Pro 6:16-19 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, 19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Joh 3:18-21 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Our Proper Love Response to God:

Psa_97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Mic_6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Luk_10:27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

Since God is love and yet He obviously demonstrates hatred, we must come to the conclusion that Jesus is both loving and hateful at the same time. God’s love and hatred are a both/and characteristic not an either/or.  Ironically, God uses these very things to winnow out partial lukewarm believers also known as hypocrites.   Do you ‘believe’ every doctrine that God teaches from every verse of His Holy Word?

Many ‘Christians’ in our day will say, “But, if God hates sinners then we are all condemned because we are all sinners!”  Well as we have seen in other areas of God’s Word that He doesn’t even listen to sinners!  When I realized this some years ago it was a light breaking forth in my mind and heart about how Holy God really is.  You can read that teaching here:  DOES GOD HEAR SINNERS?  True believers are called saints in the Bible.  Almost every Epistle starts with the terms; saints in Ephesus, saints in Rome, etc.  May the Lord show you that being sanctified and holy are the characteristics of the saints that will return with Jesus.

Jud 1:14-15 …., saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

What should we then conclude?  Firstly, we should not try and change God’s characteristics to make Him seem to be more loving, tolerant, or accepted by or for the carnal mind.  Secondly, to compromise His character is to bring into question whole sections of Scripture which describe him and how He will deal with humanity forever. Thirdly, we must realize if we do so that we create a new god, with a new gospel that will never bring about true reconciliation and peace between God and mankind.

The World’s Hatred of God and Us

From the beginning of the fall of mankind, we have hated and disobeyed our Creator.  If we loved Him we would simply obey all of His directions for our lives because it is honorable to do so, and beneficial to our lives spiritually and naturally.
Here are examples of mankind’s hatred for God:

Joh 7:7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

1 Jn 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Luk_16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Luk_6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

Mat_10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Mat_24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Mar_13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Luk_19:14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

Luk_21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.

Joh_15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

If the faith that you live doesn’t produce the fruit of the world hating you, what are you doing wrong?  How are you more loving or kind than Jesus that the world will think you are nicer than God?

These outlined points have always been major problems in the people’s understanding of the True and Living God of the Bible.  This isn’t a new phenomena that recently came upon America the last few hundred years, there is nothing new under the sun.

Lighting Up Louisville by the Holy Ghost

Looneyville Gets Crazy for Idols!
by John McGlone

We headed up to Louisville, KY to preach the Light Up Louisville event the day after a blessed Thanksgiving.  Bros Marvin &  Joshua Heiman, my son Daniel, and my daughters Caitlin and Sarah made up our group braving almost freezing temperatures as God wanted us to get to this idolatrous event to bring some heat of the Holy Ghost upon the hearts and minds of men during this season.

I was blessed to speak at length to seven young adult Baptist Christians. Of course the following were hot topics; sinless perfection, OSAS, Lordship Salvation, daily sinful disobedience. One of the young men were very offended, yet most seemed very excited about the preaching. Pray they would continue to seek the truth!

I was blessed again to have young man who was desiring to come to our ‘church’ and very much approved of the open air preaching. He even knew the local preacher Chad Johnson who regularly preaches in Louisville.
I was blessed again to speak to a young black woman who had three children from different fathers. I prayed and asked the Lord to bless. and guide them. She was appreciative and the children were very excited to get the tracts about Jesus coming to ‘town’.
We preached a lot about good parenting, not lying to our children about Santa Claus, Rudolph, or Frosty. To give them the gift of godly parenting which would point the children to Jesus. We spoke about how parents; dads and moms would have the greatest judgment before Jesus for their children.
I had one very large young man with a lot of children breathe out murderous threats against me because his children were reaching out for tracts. I was surprised at his venom as he said, “Don’t get that sh#t near my children!” I was going to correct his grammar and vulgar language but the Lord lead me to tell him, “My King is going to burn you, if you don’t repent!”
Many were offended that our youth would be there testifying against them as well. They thought that we were corrupting our children. Wow, the carnal mind can’t get anything straight at all. I say many homosexual with young children that were not theirs biologically. The homosexual ageda includes the adoption of a whole generation of children to indoctrinate them and make homo normalized in our culture. “Christians”, where are you?
Marvelous preaching!

Get out there saints and light up your city for Jesus Christ, while there is yet light to give to these poor miserable souls lost in the darkness of their sin!

Luke 2:6-14 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”

Prayers of the Saints & Sinners
by John McGlone

1 Pet 3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

I am prompted to write the blog as my KY friends and neighbors are in danger of losing their homes with 21 wildfires that were deliberately set by some wicked twisted vandal.  Here are some pictures of their dilemma, I ask the saints of God to pray.  Sinners or ‘Sinner-saints’ need not apply nor try to seek God in any matters. He is not regarding your petitions.  Now, before you are needlessly offended ask yourself where I get such ideas?  My answer of course is the Holy Bible which is why I implore you to keep reading this important post.  Examine yourself in light of what God hath said.  2 Cor 13:5

Beside preaching, the next most neglected ministry in the Christian walk is the prayer closet.  To pray to him is to worship, intercede, fast, commune,  seeking wisdom and guidance about our lives, the lives of the saints and the sinners alike.  The question that is begged when I think upon praying to God is, “Does God listen to what I am speaking with Him about?”  The very next question is, “Does God speak to me and answer what I am seeking?”  God can answer in three distinct ways, though I would not limit that.  Those three ways are:  1. Yes 2. No 3. Wait So, with that in mind let us not fool ourselves that we are in charge but that God should be both Savior and LORD of our lives.

Joh 9:31  Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Isa 59:1-3  Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. 3  For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

1Ki 8:47  Yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness; 48  And so return unto thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray unto thee toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name: 49  Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling place, and maintain their cause, 50  And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

Psa_66:20  Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

Heb_13:3  Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Psa_80:4  O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

Psa_141:5  Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Psa_109:7 When he is judged, let him be found guilty, And let his prayer become sin.

Pro 10:24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

Pro_15:8  The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

Pro_15:29  The LORD is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

Pro_28:9  One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Isa_26:16  LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.

Isa_56:7  Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Jer_7:16  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Jer_11:14  Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

Lam_3:8  Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.

Lam_3:44  Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that our prayer should not pass through.

Dan_9:3  And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Dan_9:13  As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

Dan_9:17  Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.

Dan_9:21  Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

Jon_2:7  When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.

Mat_17:21  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Mat_21:13  And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mat_21:22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Mat_23:14  Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Mar_9:29  And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Mar_11:17  And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Mar_12:40  Which devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation.

Luk_1:13  But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

Luk_2:37  And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

Luk_5:33  And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?

Luk_6:12  And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Luk_19:46  Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Luk_22:45  And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

Luk_20:47  Which devour widows’ houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

Act_1:14  These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Act_2:42  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Act_3:1  Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

Act_6:4  But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Act_10:4  And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Act_10:31  And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

Act_12:5  Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Act_16:13  And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

Act_16:16  And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

Rom_1:9  For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

Rom_10:1  Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

Rom_12:12  Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Rom_15:30  Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

1Co_7:5  Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

2Co_1:11  Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

2Co_9:14  And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.

Eph_6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Php_1:4  Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

Php_1:19  For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Php_4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Col_4:2  Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Eph_1:16  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

Col_4:12  Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

1Th_1:2  We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

1Ti_2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

1Ti_4:5  For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1Ti_5:5  Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

2Ti_1:3  I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

Phm_1:4  I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

Phm_1:22  But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

Heb_5:7  Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

Jas 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Jas_5:15  And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Jas_5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1Pe_3:7  Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

1Pe_3:12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

1Pe_4:7  But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Rev_5:8  And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

Rev_8:3  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

Rev_8:4  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.

God’s Word is preeminent in the life of a true Christian.  If you believe what you just read, then you have three responses: 1. pray as a saint and be heard and answered  2. pray as a sinner to wit God is not listening  3.  pray as a sinner-saint to wit God gives you greater accountability and still won’t listen until you truly repent and stop your sin job.

False Accusations at Middle Tenn State U – Murfreesboro, TN

We were falsely accused of many things by most of the students on the Middle Tenn State University during our outreaches there recently.  My responses are outlined in the following letter to the editor in the weblink below.  These false allegations by the MTSU students reveal the bigotry and bias of the students against God, His Word, the Truth, and the preachers.

Here is the original story filled with false allegations.  The Lord compelled me to address this properly so that others including faculty and students who may not have attended the two days of meetings could get a better understanding of what happened.

America in Distress! Flying Our Flag Union Down

downflag
Flying the Colors Union Down, July 4, 2016 Nashville, TN

by John McGlone

Today I took my retirement flag out of it’s case of 15 years, and flew it upside down at the 4th of July event in Nashville. This was a warning and sign of imminent danger and distress for our country. See subpara (a) It got lots of attention all day long as I knew it would.  However, I am not seeking to disrespect our country, flag, or people by doing so.

I am not a homosexual, socialist, or Muslim who was burning or stomping on our flag. I am a Christian American who served 21 years in the Navy, exercising my duty to warn my countrymen displaying our flag in a lawful manner. Not many know of this display, but I have handled the Ensign and Union Jack for our ships thousands of times. Ceremonies daily at 0800 every morning, sunset every evening, funerals, burials at sea, ship commissioning, decommissioning, gun salutes, etc…This display got lots of emotional tirades, some humble questions, and lots of thought provoking of careless Americans on one of our most celebrated of holidays in Nashville , TN where the week before the District Court was bathed in homosexual rainbow banners/flags flying high and ‘proud’.

Here are some of the reasons why God is angry with Americans and is judging our country:  1.  Abortion 60 million plus innocent babies murdered  2.Homo and Hetero Sexual perversions/approval  3.  Militant Feminism  4.  Destruction of the Family  5. Corrupt Goverment/politicians  6.  Wicked Educational, Medical, Social, and Financial establishments.  7.  Rejecting God and His Word in every area of our culture.

This demonstration of our union down as we fly ‘Old glory’  is a lawful way to display our flag as you can see here. I am warning, God’s JUDGMENT is about to fall. Homo and Hetero Sodomy is a threat to National Security! God firebombed Sodom and Gomorrah for these very things. We are putting our lives and property in dire danger and imminent distress of God wrath IF we don’t repent of our national and individual sins!

US Code
Notes
prev | next

No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.

(a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.

(b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise.

(c) The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free.

(d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.

(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.

(f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling.

(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

(i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown.

(j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
(Added Pub. L. 105–225, § 2(a), Aug. 12, 1998, 112 Stat. 1497.)

This retirement flag which I received after 21 years of military service in the U.S. Navy had been flown over the U.S.S. Arizona if any know what that means and where that is…

Lastly a warning from Scripture for all you patriots out there:

2 Pet 2:4-22 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) 9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: 10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. 12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet. 17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Instead of singing, “God bless America”, we need to start blessing God both in song and our conduct.  May God stay His hand of execution that we may repent as a nation and return to Him who establishes nations.
